Description: On November 18, 2016, Plaintiff was driving home when she pulled over her vehicle after an unmarked police car flashed their lights. Police officer Steven Cruver and other unknown police officers handcuffed and arrested Plaintiff without reason, slamming her onto the concrete sidewalk and injuring her left knee. Plaintiff was then escorted to the precinct and placed in a cell for 5 hours before being taken to Lincoln Hospital and then eventually to central booking in Bronx County. Approximately 24 hours after she was arrested, Plaintiff was arraigned and bail was set. Unable to initially afford bail, Plaintiff was sent to a correctional facility until her eventual release on November 21, 2016.
