Description: On July 24, 2021, Ms. York attended a protest. NYPD officers surrounded the protesters on all sides and played a recording stating that protesters must disperse. NYPD Officer Jorge Garcia pushed Ms. York, who verbally expressed to Garcia that she couldn't move because she was trapped. Garcia ignored this information and continued pushing Ms. York on her shoulders and chest. At some point, an NYPD supervisor gave a command to arrest the protesters. Description: Officer Garcia approached Plaintiff while he was standing outside, asked him what he was drinking, to which Plaintiff stated tea, and then Officer Garcia ordered him against the wall. Plaintiff said he did not consent to a search and walked away when officer chased him, tightly handcuffed him, assaulted him, and took him to PSA 4. Plaintiff was strip-searched at the precinct, then directed to the hospital where officers made sure his injuries weren't documented.
