Description: On Dec. 23, 2016, plaintiff was on the street when a verbal dispute that he was not involved in began. Officer Pom Seda and Sgt. Althaibani arrived with other officers and Seda immediately accosted plaintiff, without knowing whether or not he was involved in the dispute. Seda then began to search plaintiff and then arrested and handcuffed him. He was then questioned about an alleged weapon that was found at the scene. Plaintiff informed them he was not involved in the dispute and was not in possession of any weapon. They still subjected him to a strip search and charged him with criminal possession of a weapon. He spend approximately 30 hours in custody before the DA declined to prosecute the arrest.

Complaint
Description: Three defendant officers arrested the plaintiff with violent and excessive force. The defendants repeatedly struck the plaintiff on the head and in the face, until the Plaintiff succumbed to various injuries, including left medial wall and orbital floor ìblowoutî fractures, which required reconstructive surgery and the implementation of hardware. To any extent that the defendants did not participate in the excessive force, they failed to intervene. The Plaintiff was then transported to a local area hospital.
