Description: On August 5, 2015, the Plaintiff Darnell Underwood was walking on the sidewalk when a defendant police officer called out to him “David.” Darnell ignored the call and kept walking. A defendant officer came up behind him, grabbed him, and yelled “don’t fucking move!” Defendant officers, including Delacruz, Gonzalez, and Nowak beat Darnell with a nightstick and struck him in the head, ribs, knee, and back.
