Complaint
Description: The plaintiff was pulled over at an intersection by the defendant officers even though they had not don't anything illegal. The plaintiff was the passenger in the car and when the officers began talking with the driver, the plaintiff recorded the encounter. One of the defendants smacked the phone out of the plaintiff's hand and told her she was not allowed to record them. The defendants then arrested both the driver and the plaintiff and brought them to a local precinct followed by Bronx County Central Booking. The plaintiff was charged with Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of Governmental Administration, and Harassment. The charges were later dismissed.
