Description: On June 6, 2019, Plaintiff Willie James Baines Jr. was arrested by Defendants POs Monestime and Gaylog while loading groceries into his car. Defendants demanded Plaintiff show identification, and upon Plaintiff's questioning of the request, Defendants verbally abused and physically assaulted Plaintiff. Plaintiff was experiencing numerous medical conditions including Epilepsy and Asthma, and struggled to breathe while Defendants applied pressure with their knees onto Plaintiff's neck and back. While at the precinct, Defendants refused to give Plaintiff medical attention from the injuries sustained during the arrest and prevented Plaintiff from taking necessary medication for Epilepsy.
