Complaint
Description: The complaint details two incidents involving the plaintiff's interactions with NYPD officers referred to as Brovakos I and Brovakos II. In the first incident on November 3, 2020, the plaintiff was arrested without cause after briefly stopping to see a friend. The officers demanded his driver's license, accused him of parking in a no-standing zone, and then escalated the situation by forcibly removing him from his vehicle, conducting a warrantless search, and physically assaulting him. Despite no contraband being found, the plaintiff was detained, strip-searched, and falsely charged with various crimes, which were later dismissed in court. In the second incident on January 24, 2021, a similar pattern occurred....
