The defendant officers brought Mr. Jackson to the precinct, where he was held for two days. After being released, Mr. Jackson was forced to go to the hospital to treat an intestinal virus that he had picked up in the precinct.

Description: On December 27, 2017, at approximately 6:30 a.m., Fanny Jimenez and Anibal Marrero were unlawfully arrested by NYPD officers, including Detective Anthony Sciortino. The plaintiffs were accused of various crimes, including possession and sale of controlled substances and menacing, despite the absence of any evidence to support the charges. The plaintiffs were incarcerated, Jimenez for three days and Marrero for eight days, before being released. The charges were ultimately dismissed and sealed in June 2018.
