Description: On July 6, 2021, at approximately 6 a.m., Plaintiff was asleep in her home when defendant officers began banging on her door. Plaintiff's husband went downstairs to answer the door, and defendant officers immediately handcuffed him. Defendant officers then came upstairs and dragged Plaintiff out of her bed and onto the floor, tearing her clothes off and rendering her completely naked, and exacerbating a pre-existing neck injury. Description: On August 22, 2018, Defendant Officer Sciortino and an unknown defendant officer conducted a false arrest of Plaintiff Heath Jackson at his home. The police officers did not secure Mr. Jackson's dwelling, and as a result, Mr. Jackson's property was stolen from his home. The defendant officers brought Mr. Jackson to the precinct, where he was held for two days. After being released, Mr. Jackson was forced to go to the hospital to treat an intestinal virus that he had picked up in the precinct.

Description: On December 27, 2017, at approximately 6:30 a.m., Fanny Jimenez and Anibal Marrero were unlawfully arrested by NYPD officers, including Detective Anthony Sciortino. The plaintiffs were accused of various crimes, including possession and sale of controlled substances and menacing, despite the absence of any evidence to support the charges. The plaintiffs were incarcerated, Jimenez for three days and Marrero for eight days, before being released. The charges were ultimately dismissed and sealed in June 2018. The plaintiffs allege that they suffered both physical and emotional injuries as a result of the unlawful arrest, false imprisonment, and malicious prosecution.
