Description: On February 15, 2019, plaintiff was lawfully within the vicinity of 117-09 140th St, Queens, NY. Defendants unlawfully entered and searched the location and plaintiff. Defendants placed plaintiff into handcuffs and under arrest. Plaintiff was transported to the police precinct. At the precinct defendants falsely informed the Queens DA they observed plaintiff commit various offenses. Plaintiff was transported to Central Booking, and arraigned. Plaintiff was released after spending an extended period of time in custody. Plaintiff appeared in court as required, and her criminal case was subsequently dismissed.

Description: On or about April 26, 2019, Plaintiff and his family were unlawfully locked out of their home by their landlord despite a NYC Court Order allowing Plaintiff and his family to be in possession of their home. When NYPD Defendants arrived at the premises, Plaintiff showed them the Court Order and explained their right to access the premises. Without any probable cause or criminal conduct, Defendants arrested plaintiff. Defendants arrested plaintiff because he "looked like another black male suspect" without any investigation. Plaintiff was released after approximately 20 hours in NYPD custody and all charges against Plaintiff were dismissed.
