Description: On February 20, 2018, Plaintiff was falsely arrested on meritless charges, including assault, following a domestic incident. Officer Vincent Fortino, who responded to the 911 call and took the domestic incident report, falsely testified against Plaintiff at trial. Despite the absence of visible physical injuries and the lack of merit, Plaintiff was prosecuted. All charges against Plaintiff were dismissed at trial on October 19, 2018. The NYPD treated Plaintiff differently based on his race, applying state laws unevenly to minority individuals.
