Description: On September 12, 2018, around 6:00 a.m., plaintiff Minerva Stephens was lawfully in her home at 2303 Bedford Avenue, 1st Floor, Brooklyn, New York, when Police Officers entered her residence without legal justification. Police Officers searched the entire building and Plaintiff without probable cause. Plaintiff was seized, unlawfully handcuffed, and falsely imprisoned. Plaintiff was caused to suffer as a result of the Police Officers. All charges against Plaintiff were dismissed and sealed on June 28, 2019. As a result of the unlawful entry into Plaintiff's apartment, jewelry was stolen in the amount of about $22,000.
