Description: On or about August 23, 2017, Plaintiff Curtis E. Tartt was wrongfully and falsely arrested, detained, and imprisoned for approximately two days by Police Officers "John Does 1-2". The officers falsely accused Tartt of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, criminal possession of forgery devices and criminal possessions of a forged instrument in the third degree. Furthermore, the Plaintiff alleges that the NYPD recklessly, carelessly and negligently, performed their duties as police officers, in that they failed to use such care in the performance of their duties as reasonably prudent and careful police officers would have done under similar circumstances.
