Complaint
Description: On July 18, 2015, plaintiffs were lawfully present in the street, when defendant POs Perez and Espinal approached plaintiffs and informed them that they were not permitted to stand on the sidewalk. Defendant POs then, without probable cause, violently arrested both plaintiffs and falsely charged them with resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and related charges. Plaintiffs were held in custody for two days. All charges against them were later dismissed.
