50-a.org is a searchable website of NYC Civilian Complaint Review Board and related public NYPD data.

Information is compiled from public CCRB records, FOIL requests from NYCLU, ProPublica, LatinoJustice PRLDEF and numerous individuals, as well as NYC DA Adverse Credibility lists and letters to defense attorneys by Gothamist/WNYC, discipline summaries from BuzzFeed, lawsuits from The Legal Aid Society and the NYC Law Department, and profile data provided by the NYPD, @nypdnews and the city.

Records are incomplete. The database does not include complaints for which the CCRB has not completed an investigation. Only a limited set of lawsuits and NYPD discipline records are available. Not all officers are listed. Records only include the NYPD, for other police departments see the list of other police accountability data sets at NACDL.

This database contains 460,000 allegations from 167,000 complaints from the 1970s through September 2023, along with other records of 89,400 police officers.

The NYPD Officer Profile database is available as spreadsheets. Updated September 21, 2023
