Description: On September 19, 2020, the plaintiff, DERRICK WEST, JR., was at or about the intersection of 7th E St 46th Street, in New York City when he was approached and by the defendants, POLICE OFFICER JULIO ALVAREZ-Shield # 123 and JOHN DOES-Police Officers. Defendant officers grabbed the plaintiff, dragged and threw him to ground, and forced him into handcuffs. The plaintiff was taken to the police precinct where he was held for several hours until his release and was then issued a desk appearance ticket for criminal charges at approximately 9:45 P.M. Plaintiff suffered severe and serious injuries as a result of the police assault and battery.
