Description: On June 3, 2020, Plaintiff was participating in a peaceful protest against police brutality when NYPD officers approached the group of protestors with large shields. The NYPD did not give any orders to disperse. Defendant Police Officer Joseph Ryder suddenly, without warning, grabbed Plaintiff and threw her to the ground. Description: On June 3, 2020, Plaintiff was participating in a peaceful protest against police brutality in downtown Brooklyn, when he was battered and unlawfully and with excessive force arrested by NYPD Officers. During the protest, NYPD Officers suddenly, unprovoked, and without warning, assaulted and arrested protesters.
