Description: On February 2, 2012, NYPD officers including Officers Haste and Morris forcibly attempted to enter Plaintiffs' apartment without a warrant or reasonable suspicion and without identifying themselves as police officers. Officer Haste shot and killed Plaintiff Ramarley Graham, who was unarmed. Officer Haste then threatened to shoot Graham's grandmother, Plaintiff Patricia Hartley, and several officers physically prevented her from making a phone call. Graham's mother, Plaintiff Constance Malcolm, was physically prevented from speaking with Hartley by NYPD officers who restrained and locked Hartley in a room.
