Description: On January 31, 2019, Plaintiff was falsely arrested by officers for violating animal protection laws. Officers had previously been conducting an investigation into the treatment of a dog owned by Plaintiff. When Plaintiff had gone out of town, the officers learned that Plaintiff left the dog in the custody of another individual. This did not violate the terms of the investigation or any other laws, but officers arrested Plaintiff regardless. All charges against Plaintiff were subsequently dismissed.
