Description: On May 16, 2023, around 6:30 P.M., plaintiff Miguel Cordova Portilla was asleep in his bedroom located at the first floor of his residence at 31-46 99th Street, East Elmhurst, NY, when he was violently assaulted and battered by Police Officers. Plaintiff was asleep when officers broke down his door and pointed laser guided firearms at his face. Plaintiff was dragged off his bed, thrown to the ground, and beaten. Plaintiff was handcuffed for resisting arrest, taken to a precinct, and then central booking. Plaintiff was released on May 17, 2023 around 12:00 P.M., and the charge was dismissed in Criminal Court. Plaintiff was caused to suffer a nasal fracture, lacerations, and required medical attention.
