Description: On September 23, 2015, plaintiff was inside his home, and defendant officers Rosario, Aaeisham, Gibson, and others falsely arrested plaintiff and charged him with murdering a cap driver 2 days earlier. A witness of this murder, chose a photo of another individual from a photo array, but defendant officers indicated to the witness that the wrong photo was chosen, so this witness chose plaintiff's photo.
Plaintiff was handcuffed and taken to the precinct. Defendants officers provided false information to the DA and was detained at Riker's Island in unsafe and unhealthy conditions until January 31, 2018 when he was released and acquitted.

Description: On September 4, 2012, plaintiff was falsely arrested in connection with a robbery-murder. Detective Robert Henn, Detective Felix Ramos, Lieutenant Richard Gibson, Detective Anthony D'Amato, and Detective Thomas Aashem failed to collect evidence or adequately preserve DNA from the scene. Even after a DNA test revealed that plaintiff could not have been present the night of the crime, ADAs Derek Lynton and Ray Valeria continued their improper motive to obtain a conviction in the high profile matter. NYPD failed to conduct a basic criminal investigation. Plaintiff was incarcerated at Rikers Island for three years awaiting trial due to the ADAs' needless adjourning of his trial.
