Description: On August 27, 2019 Plaintiffs Cassidy and Cromwell were lawfully walking when PO Robert Lee and other POs aggressively approached, contorted their arms behind their backs, and affixed excessively-tight handcuffs to their wrists. Plaintiffs suffered substantial physical pain and discomfort as a result. Plaintiffs were then unlawfully searched and taken to the 9th Precinct where they were searched again and wrongfully held for approximately two days. PO Lee falsely accused Plaintiffs of disorderly conduct and both were maliciously prosecuted until all charges were ultimately dismissed on OCtober 17, 2019.
