Description: On September 28, 2019, plaintiff was out on a street corner with friends when a large group of police arrived and began questioning the group. Plaintiff commented that the police were only there to protect white people. In response, Police Officers Erica Rivera (ID 951148) and Toni Burke (ID 952512) grabbed plaintiff's sweatshirt in a way that choked him, then tasered him and placed him in handcuffs. Plaintiff was held at the precinct and later arraigned. Officer Rivera falsely alleged that plaintiff resisted arrest and prevented the officers' investigation. Charges were eventually dismissed.
