Complaint
Description: On November 29, 2013, James Burgess was wrongfully arrested based on false allegations made by his step-daughter, Simone Morgan. NYPD Officers Julia Aymar, Oscar Heritier, and Sergeant Cuong Nguyen, acting on Morgan's claims without proper investigation, arrested Burgess and his daughter, Sharnell, in their East Harlem apartment. Despite numerous witnesses contradicting Morgan's account, Aymar led the decision to arrest, with the officers ignoring alternative narratives. The charges against Burgess and Sharnell were ultimately dismissed
