Description: On December 17th, 2022, PO Matthew Sanchez unlawfully and without cause handcuffed Plaintiff in view of his five year old daughter on the street. While detained, Plaintiff was illegally searched and a piece of jewelry was removed from his person by PO Sanchez. PO Sanchez intentionally and falsely accused Plaintiff of criminal contempt in the second degree. Plaintiff was then taken to the police precinct in Bronx County and forced to remain in a cell until taken to Bronx Central Booking. On December 18th, Plaintiff was released without going before a judge or being charged with a crime. PO Sanchez claims that the jewelry, a gift from Egypt for Plaintiff's daughter, was lost.
