Description: On May 22, 2012, NYPD officers grabbed Plaintiff’s person, and searched, handcuffed, and arrested him without legal basis. Plaintiff was imprisoned for more than twenty-four hours before he was arraigned on baseless charges; the charges had been sworn to by NYPD officer Peter Mallon, and were based on false allegations of PO Ronald Bronaugh and one other officer. The prosecution was initiated with malice. Officers, including Mallon and Bronaugh, swore to false allegations that Plaintiff engaged in a purported drug sale involving an undercover officer, and that such a sale was purportedly witnessed by officer Bronaugh. Description: On September 3, 2013, defendants approached plaintiff on the street and handcuffed his arms tightly behind his back. Defendants transported plaintiff to a nearby police precinct where they filled out false and/or misleading police reports. Specifically, defendants knowingly/falsely swore that plaintiff sold a ziplock containing marijuana to another individual. Defendants also gave false and misleading testimony regarding the facts and circumstances of plaintiff's arrest. Despite defendants' actions, all charges against the plaintiff were dismissed on December 6, 2013.
