Description: During the protests in response to the killing of George Floyd in May and June 2020, Plaintiffs who were peacefully protesting against police violence and misconduct, were unlawfully arrested, subjected to excessive force including assault and battery with batons, pepper spray, and excessively tight handcuffs. Description: On January 19, 2014 , Phytelia Williams was unlawfully arrested by P.O. Tarangelo and P.O. DOE inside 300 East 143 Street in Bronx County . In compliance with a request by P.O Tarangelo and P.O Doe , Ms. Williams came to the upstairs floor of the building. She was then arrested by the defendants for trespassing . Ms. Williams was held in custody for less than six hours and then released with a Desk Appearance Ticket.
