Description: On July 18, 2024, plaintiffs were lawfully near the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan when they were approached by defendant NYPD Officers Gina Lagattolla, Nicholas Frazier, and several John Doe officers. Defendants, acting without probable cause or reasonable suspicion of illegal activity, grabbed, handcuffed, and arrested plaintiffs, and took them to a local precinct for processing. Defendants then filed false criminal complaints against plaintiffs, resulting in their continued detention and requiring them to attend court multiple times before the charges were dismissed.

Description: On June 14, 2023, PO Gina Lagattolla, Darin Lazar, Darrick Reed, and others approached Plaintiff, who was lawfully on the street, and without probable cause or any legal justification stopped, searched, grabbed, assaulted, battered, and detained Plaintiff in an aggressive and excessive manner. Plaintiff was taken to a police station in the County of New York where he was subject to a strip search and remained incarcerated for over 24 hours. Plaintiff was required to make numerous court appearances over an extended period of time until all charges against him were terminated in his favor.
