Description: On or about March 18, 2018, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Plaintiff Tommy Crawley was lawfully in the vicinity of 741 Jennings Street, Bronx, New York, when he was approached by New York City Police Officers, including Officer Daisy Nauta, John Doe, and John Roe, without any legal justification such as a warrant or probable cause. The officers allegedly assaulted, searched, detained, and arrested Crawley in an aggressive manner, resulting in his being strip-searched and detained for over 24 hours. Crawley was falsely charged and maliciously prosecuted, enduring numerous court appearances until the charges were eventually dismissed in his favor.
