Description: On July 28, 2017 at approximately 6:00 p.m. Plaintiff was lawfully in the area of Washington Square West and West 4th Street when POs Stephen Barone, John Doe, and John Roe stopped Plaintiff based on a racially-motivated policy of "stop and frisk" policy and summarily searched, grabbed, assaulted, battered, and detained him in an excessive manner without legal justification. Plaintiff was arraigned after his arrest and falsely prosecuted with committing a crime, necessitating numerous court appearances over an extended period of time until all charges against him were terminated favorably. Plaintiff sustained physical and emotional pain and injuries as a result of this incident.
