Description: On or about December 6, 2015, the plaintiff, Philip Williams, was wearing a Darth Vader costume and lawfully walking by 1514 Broadway, New York, when he was suddenly and unlawfully detained and held by the defendants against his will and without probable cause. The plaintiff was detained without an explanation.
The defendants provided false information to the prosecutor of the criminal action against the plaintiff. The criminal charges brought against the plaintiff were dismissed by the court on September 6, 2016, and terminated in the plaintiff's favor.
