Description: On March 30, 2020, while lawfully near 1644 York Avenue in New York, the plaintiff was illegally stopped, searched, seized, battered, assaulted, arrested, and detained in an excessive manner by defendants Officers Law, Zehrer, Lee, and Pardo, allegedly due to racial discrimination. Before the arrest, the plaintiff was searching his phone at the location when he was aggressively approached by numerous NYPD officers at the defendants' direction, falsely accused of stealing from a nearby convenience store, "Gristedes." The defendant officers forcefully restrained the plaintiff, violently twisting his arms and applying tight handcuffs, and used a taser on him, causing injury. They forcefully threw him to the ground...
