Description: On August 30, 2017, plaintiff parked his vehicle in front of the deli/grocery located at 10-03 Tenth Street, Long Island City, Queens NY, exited his vehicle and intended to enter the deli/grocery to purchase a coffee. Plaintiff took a few steps and was approached by two defendants. Defendants instructed plaintiff to go back to his car and he complied. More officers arrived, totaling more than fifteen officers. Plaintiff was handcuffed, tackled, and physically assaulted. After detaining plaintiff for fifteen minutes, he was taken to the 114th Precinct., and detained for four hours. Defendants released plaintiff, after only giving him a summons for failure to wear a seatbelt and failure to obey a police officer.
