Description: On or about November 15, 2019, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Plaintiff Ernest Nelson was in the vicinity of 9th Avenue and West 19th Street, New York, New York, when he was approached by several NYPD officers, including Detectives Jason Miller, Oscar Murdock, Edwin Martinez, and two unidentified officers referred to as John Doe and John Roe. Acting without probable cause, legal justification, or an arrest warrant, the officers aggressively stopped, searched, and detained Nelson, subjecting him to an invasive strip search while in custody.
