Description: On November 2, 2024, plaintiff was lawfully present inside her apartment at 265-20 74th Ave., Glen Oaks, Queens, NY, when police officers unlawfully entered plaintiff’s apartment and bedroom. Officers entered plaintiff’s apartment and bedroom to perform a wellness check of plaintiff. Plaintiff did not consent to officers’ warrantless entry, and there were no exigent circumstances to authorize the entry. Officers told plaintiff they were going to take plaintiff to the hospital. When plaintiff refused to go, officers assaulted and battered plaintiff. Officers handcuffed plaintiff.
