Description: On or about February 13, 2016, at approximately 1:00 AM, Khayree Stewart was allegedly falsely arrested, falsely imprisoned, and subjected to illegal search and seizure by officers of the New York City Police Department (NYPD) in the Bronx, New York. During the incident, Stewart claims that he was assaulted, resulting in a fractured wrist. He was put in a chokehold, handcuffed tightly, and dropped to the ground. Officer Anibal Vasquez, of the 48th NYPD Precinct, was specifically named in the allegations. Stewart was detained for around 22 hours before being released with a desk appearance ticket on or about February 14, 2016. The charges were eventually dismissed on or about August 10, 2017.

Description: On October 7, 2016, Police Officer Anibal Vasquez and other police officers stopped, searched, grabbed, assaulted, battered, arrested and detained the plaintiff in an aggressive and excessive manner without a warrant, probable cause, reasonable cause or any legal justification. Because of the defendants conduct, the plaintiff suffered great and permanent bodily injury in and about his head, neck, back, body and limbs and was rendered sick, sore, lame and disabled, and suffered conscious pain. The plaintiff was falsely and maliciously prosecuted with committing a crime, but the criminal action against him was terminated favorably.
