Description: On June 3, 2020, Plaintiff was participating in a peaceful protest against police brutality in downtown Brooklyn, when he was battered and unlawfully and with excessive force arrested by NYPD Officers. During the protest, NYPD Officers suddenly, unprovoked, and without warning, assaulted and arrested protesters. Plaintiff witnessed and recorded with his phone Defendant Sheppard shove a woman to the ground. Plaintiff said "hey!" in response but did not otherwise act. Defendant Sheppard immediately turned to Plaintiff and ordered to have him arrested.
