Description: May 29, 2015, Plaintiff Anil was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and illegal to possess marihuana. Defendant Officer Torres-Chamarro maliciously and falsely prosecuted Plaintiff Anil under the fabricated charges, prosecution and police paperwork and sworn testimony. Plaintiff Anil maintained his innocence for almost three (3) years and was ultimately acquitted of all charges by a jury of his peers on April 27, 2018. In a nutshell, Plaintiff was at his brother's house to watch a game. Because his brother's wife did not allow him to smoke in the house, he went to his car. Description: On July 5, 2019, while lawfully inside the residence known as 166 West 87th Street, Apt 7N in New York, NY, the plaintiff was unlawfully detained, assaulted, frisked, handcuffed, battered, and arrested by the defendants, including Torreschamorro and John Does, in an excessive manner without legal justification and solely because of his race. The plaintiff was wrongfully detained from July 5, 2019, to July 12, 2019, until he was able to post bail. The defendants fabricated evidence, coerced witnesses, and falsely accused the plaintiff of committing crimes. All charges were dismissed in the plaintiff's favor on December 16, 2019.
