Description: On January 11, 2012, Plaintiff Alexis Murray-Medouze was parked legally on the side of the road in Brooklyn, NY, with Ms. Tanya Thomas and Mr. Junior Paton parked legally behind her. Murray-Medouze noticed a police vehicle next to Ms. Thomas and Mr. Paton. Murray-Medouze overheard a heated argument between Ms. Thomas and Defendant NYPD Officer Jane Kahvacci. Murray-Medouze then witnessed Defendant NYPD Officer Rafael Figueroa exit the police vehicle and forcibly remove Mr. Paton from his car. Murray-Medouze attempted to diffuse the situation, as she was herself an NYPD officer. When Defendant Figueroa gestured her away, Murray-Medouze instructed Paton to report Figueroa to the CCRB.
