Description: On November 9, 2022, at 12:30 AM, Plaintiff Chanelle Anderson was lawfully parking her vehicle at the corner of 188th street and Marion Avenue, in the Bronx, NY. As she left her vehicle, Defendant NYPD Officers Daniel Poku, Scott Shulman, and John Does requested that Plaintiff return to her vehicle and provide her registration. Plaintiff complied but made a brazen comment about the Defendants' request. The Defendants then asked Plaintiff to exit the vehicle and searched her. Though Defendants recovered no contraband of any kind, they then handcuffed Plaintiff and transported her to the 46th Precinct, where they searched her again. Description: On or about February 1st, 2016, Plaintiff was lawfully operation their vehicle with three passengers inside when they were pulled over by PO Schulman and PO "John Doe". After handing over his documentation, Plaintiff was handcuffed, arrested and taken to the 70th Precinct. Plaintiff was never read his Miranda rights. PO Schulman ordered Plaintiff to remove the strings from his sweatshirt and sweatpants. Plaintiff refused this command because he had not been informed of the charges against him.
