Description: On July 11, 2019, while lawfully sitting inside his employer's vehicle near 250 Vesey Street in NY, the plaintiff was abruptly and forcefully approached by Defendant Mendez, who attempted to open the vehicle door without permission, warrant, or legal justification. During this attempt, Defendant Mendez injured the plaintiff's ribs and wrist by slamming the door and struck the plaintiff with his fist. After the plaintiff successfully closed the door, Defendant Mendez punched the window, identified himself as an undercover police officer, pointed his firearm at the plaintiff, and forcefully dragged him out of the vehicle by his neck.
