Description: On May 9, 2020, Plaintiff was lawfully present on the sidewalk when Defendants, including Gennardo, unlawfully approached Plaintiff and, without announcing themselves or issuing any order to Plaintiff, immediately assaulted and battered him by aggressively and violently grabbing his body with their outstretched hands and then slamming him into the concrete ground. Defendants then continued to assault and batter Plaintiff by pressing their knees and combined weight into his back and neck. Defendants then violently contorted Plaintiff’s arms behind his back to affix metal handcuffs to Plaintiff’s wrists. Description: On December 22, 2021 Police Officers Cherenfant, Guity, and Gennardo handcuffed Plaintiff and falsely accused her of having committed an assault. Officer Cherenfant slammed Plaintiff's body against a subway station staircase and struck her in the face and head multiple times with a closed fist. Plaintiff remained in custody until she was released on December 23, 2021. The false charges were terminated in Plaintiff's favor on February 28, 2022.
