Description: On November 4, 2020, Plaintiff participated in a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest in Washington Square Park in New York City, who was also serving as a medic at the event. Plaintiff assisted a man who was struck by a bike by a Strategic Response Group officer. At around 8:30 pm, Plaintiff was subsequently tackled to the sidewalk by approximately four other officers, including Defendant Paul Rau. The defendants smashed Plaintiff's head to the ground and pinned Plaintiff on his back. One officer stood on Plaintiff's left wrist, while another officer stood on his right wrist, pinning him to the ground.
