Description: On March 31, 2020, Plaintiff was seated in the backseat of a parked van when Defendant Officers showed up and unlawfully searched him and the other passengers. Plaintiff was unlawfully arrested for possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Plaintiff was not aware that the car was stolen and was not operating the van nor was he ever seen behind the wheel of it. On video, Plaintiff was assaulted by Defendant Officers; Plaintiff was thrown to the ground, kicked multiple times, and while being held down, one officer held his arm while the second officer had his knee on his neck.
