Description: On or about August 29, 2023, Plaintiff was on the street when Defendant NYPD officer Clemente and several other unknown Defendant NYPD officers approached Plaintiff and falsely accused him of stealing a phone from his girlfriend. Without giving Plaintiff any time to explain the situation, and without any legal cause or justification, the Defendants falsely arrested Plaintiff. This is despite Plaintiff's girlfriend repeatedly tell the Defendants that her phone was not stolen by Plaintiff. The Defendants then illegally searched Plaintiff's person and aggressively handcuffed Plaintiff, causing injury.
