Description: On On July 11, 2017, and on eleven (11) other occasions until July 23, 2018 at Pawn Rite’s Flatlands branch, NYPD officer “Johnson” and other unnamed defendant officers sought to seize certain merchandise and despite protest by Plaintiff, Belkis Rodriguez, the senior manager of Pawn Rite, and ordered a “criminal hold”. Throughout the year 2017 and 2018, the NYPD began a concerted effort to enforce their will upon PawnRite often by randomly investigating crime leads and forcing the business, under threat of heavy-handed tactics, to comply with their demands.
