Complaint
Description: On December 11, 2021, Plaintiff was approached by NYPD Officers John Lawrenson and two other Officers (John Doe and John Roe) who stopped, searched, grabbed, assaulted, battered, and detained Plaintiff. There was no legal justification for arresting Plaintiff. In arresting Plaintiff, Defendant Officers sought either a detriment to plaintiff or a benefit to the NYPD besides a legitimate arrest. The stop and seizure of Plaintiff was part of an illegal and improper Stop and Frisk program. Plaintiff was arraigned and maliciously prosecuted despite having committed no crime. All charges against Plaintiff were terminated in his favor on March 3, 2023.
