Description: On December 12, 2019, plaintiffs were lawfully in the vicinity of East 163rd Street and Kelly Street, when defendant police officers, without any probable cause or legal justification, summarily stopped, searched, grabbed, assaulted, battered, and detained plaintiffs with excessive force. Plaintiffs were then handcuffed and arrested. Plaintiffs were strip-searched in custody, and during arraignment they were falsely prosecuted with committing a crime. All charges against plaintiffs were eventually terminated in their favor. As a result of the incident, plaintiffs sustained severe physical and emotional injuries.
