Description: On March 16, 2020, the plaintiff, an adult black or African American male, was unlawfully stopped, detained, battered, and assaulted by several NYPD officers. The officers involved include Brian Byrnes (Shield No. 00969), Nicholas Calandro (Shield No. 04386), Justin Cristiano (Shield No. 11366), and Brian Hickey (Shield No. 06833). The plaintiff was detained for approximately 27 days until his release on April 12, 2020, and was prosecuted until all criminal charges were unconditionally dismissed and sealed on November 3, 2021.
