Complaint
Description: On August 3, 2017, Plaintiff was driving on the northeast corner of Lenox Avenue and West 145th Street in New York City. Plaintiff was approached by an NYPD officer who ordered her out of the care without justification. Defendant NYPD officer Asad Sardar and other NYPD officers then handcuffed Plaintiff and threw her against her car. The officers arrested plaintiff and did not advise of the charges against her. As a result of these events, Plaintiff was injured, rendered sick, sore, lame and disabled; was or will require medical treatment; and was unable to pursue her usual and regular activities.
