Description: On January 18, 2021, the Plaintiff attended a Black Lives Matter protest when the protesters were surrounded by police. The officers used LRAD devices to tell the protesters to get on the sidewalk. Unknown NYPD officers attacked the Plaintiff and swung batons at their head. The NYPD officers tore the Plaintiff's rotator cuff as they placed them in handcuffs. The Plaintiff and other protesters were taken on a "rough ride" to the precinct. The charges against the Plaintiff were dismissed.
